Current status concerning EU Constitution:
Ratification of the EU Constitution was completed on 19 April 2005
Greek foreign minister Petros Molyviatis has said that he wants to revive the debate on the ratification of the Constitution. (AFP, 7 February 2006)

21 June 2006: Speaking a few days after the EU Summit in Brussels (15-16 June), foreign minister Bakoyianni said: "In Greece we ratified the constitution because we believe that it is a good text. If additions are necessary, we will discuss them." (Le Figaro)
05 May 2006: According to the Eurobarometer results:
- 50% think their country's EU membership is "a good thing".
- 21% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would be most helpful for the Future of Europe"
- 28% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would strengthen your feelings about being a European citizen."
