Current status on EU Constitution:
Estonian Parliament ratified the EU Constitution on 9 May 2006 with only one MP - our member Igor Grazin - voting against. Talk of referendum had been suspended following French/Dutch rejection of the EU Constitution in 2005.

12 May 2006: Estonian national TV talkshow Foorum poll about the euro 72.9% voted against the introduction of the euro.
8 May 2006: Newspaper Postimees Internet poll 79% of Estonians voted against the EU Constitution
5 May 2006: Estonian national TV talkshow Foorum poll 80.1% voted against the EU Constitution (the talkshow involved a debate between high profile parliamentarians).
05 May 2006: According to the Eurobarometer results:
- 43% think their country's EU membership is "a good thing".
- 12% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would be most helpful for the Future of Europe",
- 35% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would strengthen your feelings about being a European citizen."
