An appeal to our leaders...
During last Summit on June 21 - 22, the EUDemocrats took part to a public event organised by British think tank Open Europe and German organisation Mehr Demokratie on rue de la Joyeuse entree at the entrance of the parc du Cinquantenaire near Schuman. The event featured an alternative family photo of all 27 Heads of States and Government putting their fingers in their ears. The message was meant to demonstrate the deafness of our political leaders when it comes to giving the voice to the people. According to Open Europe, the great majority of European citizens would like to have a say on the future of Europe. And yet, everything is done to avoid giving the people the right to decide. During that event, more than 39 medias came to interview Tony Blair's former economic advisor Derek Scott and Mehr Demokratie's spokesperson Gerald Hafner.
