Ireland requests treaty change to guarantee sovereignty in tax policy
    
 

The FT reports that Dublin has written to the Polish EU presidency requesting the EU treaties be changed in order to incorporate language guaranteeing that the country can continue to operate its own tax policy. Ireland's low corporate tax was seen as key to its economic success in recent years.
