January 19, 2012 | EUD Press Release - Referendum in Croatia

2012-01-19 If Croatia votes no – a new possibility for Europe will rise We support a democratic, open and tolerant Europe. We believe that if Croatia votes no to EU membership it can open the door for broader co-operation in Europe. Norway and Switzerland are excellent examples of how a country can work better by not being member of the European Union. Membership of the European Union is not necessary for integration and the peaceful development of Europe. In fact, the Euro crisis and the European Union budget policy actually create new tensions in Europe. By saying 'No' to EU membership Croatia can open up for new possibilities to develop true democracy and tolerance in Europe.
