Current status concerning EU Constitution:
• Ratification of the EU Constitution was completed on 19 April 2005
• Greek foreign minister Petros Molyviatis has said that he wants to “revive the debate on the ratification of the Constitution”. (AFP, 7 February 2006)

• 21 June 2006: Speaking a few days after the EU Summit in Brussels (15-16 June), foreign minister Bakoyianni said: "In Greece we ratified the constitution because we believe that it is a good text. If additions are necessary, we will discuss them." (Le Figaro)
• 05 May 2006: According to the Eurobarometer results:
- 50% think their country's EU membership is "a good thing".
- 21% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would be most helpful for the Future of Europe"
- 28% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would strengthen your feelings about being a European citizen."
