• 16 June 2006: Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen noted after the EU Summit in Brussels (15-16 June) that it was "very unclear" what the steps would be in 2008. He excludes the recovery of the ratification process “as long as there is no clarification on behalf of France and the Netherlands." • 05 May 2006: According to the Eurobarometer:
- 61% think their country's EU membership is "a good thing"
- 27% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would be most helpful for the Future of Europe"
- 28% chose "a common constitution" when asked to choose two from six options concerning what "would strengthen your feelings about being a European citizen."
• 21 April 2006: Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen supports a new treaty that contains some of the “obviously good” elements of the Constitution, including changing the voting weights to make it easier to pass legislation. (Speech at Copenhagen University, 21 April 2006)
