a law by the people for the people?

Shifts of power have been a reality since the very beginning of the European construction, but very little people are able to estimate the quantity of law generated by the EU institutions. In fact, more than 70% of the laws enforceable in all Member States directly come out of Brussels. The amount of legislation is so big that Romania and Bulgaria have had to implement 120.000 pages of law to catch up with the other Member States. And with the progression of European integration, these numbers are just about to keep on growing.
