Current status on EU Constitution:
Parliament ratified the EU Constitution on 2 June 2005, just one day after the Dutch 'No' vote.
Although the Latvian government indicated it is open to changes on the Constitution, the prime minister Aigars Kalvitis hopes that this Constitution will be ratified sooner or later in all European Union countries. (AFP, 19 April 2006)
